Our Next Production

Black Comedy

by Peter Shaffer

January 17th, 18th & 19th 2025

Booking details shortly!

Black Comedy by Peter Schaffer was first performed in July 1965, with a cast including Derek Jacobi, Maggie Smith and Albert Finney plus other household names of the time, and has remained a firm favourite with amateur dramatic companies ever since. It is also very popular in its French version. Much of the humour is visual although that in no way diminishes from the clever word play by the cast, as our "hero" Brindsley who starts the evening with such high hopes, sees his world start to fall apart.
